The Arts and Crafts Movement

1880- 1910 A drive for simplicity, craftsmanship and creativity, personal handwork versus the machine age. The craftsman style was evident in architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright and Greene & Greene and the furniture by the Stickley brothers. The studio pottery of Grueby Newcomb, Saturday Evening Girls, and Teco are examples of this period.
